On June 29, 2020, with the recent events and national conversations sparked by the murders of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor, we hosted a panel discussion through Zoom on Race and Injustice, and specifically how the Church should think about these issues. Often, when these conversations rise onto the national stage, we all talk about them, but after a while, we lose interest and change the subject. This discussion sought to attendees, and now you, with the understanding that for People of Color in the church and in our country, these topics never fall off the page. We hope that this video call can help you grow a deeper awareness of some of these realities and help you become more like Jesus in your love for friends and neighbors.
The discussion is broken into a handful of videos below and all have the same password (password: panel). We encourage you to watch with others and afterwards, debrief your thoughts, feelings, takeaways, etc.
